Pastor Simeon Counterman’s
Personal Testimony of Salvation
It was the 26th of January, a Thursday night, in 1986 that I received Christ as my Savior.
I remember that our church was in the middle of special meetings that week. That night, the church had watched the last film in a series known as The Thief in the Night. The film scared me to “death”.
I was terrified of being left behind when the Lord returned. When my family got home that night, I went and spoke with my dad in our kitchen.
He showed me out of the Bible that I was a sinner, and that I was in need of a savior. That savior was Christ alone. There was no other way to heaven, except through Christ’s blood.
That evening, I accepted the gift of salvation through Jesus and He saved my soul. From then on, I have tried to serve the Lord diligently.
