Pastor Richard
Woodruff grew up in a Christian home in the Pennsylvania Dutch Country of
Lebanon, PA.
He received Jesus Christ as his personal Savior on May 27, 1978.
Richard answered the Lord’s call to go into full-time ministry
in 1998 while
serving at Faith Baptist Church in Lebanon, PA. In his own words, “While I got
saved early in life, I was never discipled. Having gotten under sound biblical
preaching and discipleship, getting involved in serving, I grew like
never before.
The more I served, the more I loved serving.”
Richard holds a Doctor of
Ministry in Preaching & Leadership from Maranatha Baptist University as
well as two other degrees
from MBU and is a 2004 graduate of Calvary
Baptist Theological Seminary in Lansdale, PA. Beginning in 2005, he has served
as a pastor for a combined total of over 18+ years in PA, WV, and IL. In
addition, he has worked at the MBU campus,
provided pulpit supply to over 25 churches, served as a
camp guest speaker, taught theology classes online to foreign seminary students, written a digital book that includes reaching the next generation.
He met Colleen
while attending Calvary Baptist Theological Seminary. Colleen grew up in a
Christian home and received Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at the age 5. They
have been married for over 26 years and have three daughters and
one child in Heaven. Richard and his
family enjoy serving the Lord together in the work of the ministry,
spending time
together as a family, traveling, going to the beach on the off seasons, Chinese food, writing, playing games, and making
friends. Their daily prayer is to love God and others more.
